Wetherspoon and Worthington's Community Fund 2023

Wetherspoon and Worthington’s have partnered with ActionFunder to reach out and support local organisations in the Republic of Ireland.

 

The fund is offering grants of up to €1,000 for non-profits who run physical activities, mental health support or the opportunity for people to come together in their neighbourhood’s to create community connections. To be eligible for funding, projects must be located in the Republic of Ireland and project beneficiaries must be aged 18 or over.

How to get involved:

Local non-profit organisations will be eligible for funding if they match one of the below criteria.

  • Mental health and wellbeing

  • Physical health and sports

  • Neighbourhood

  • Must be based in the Republic of Ireland

  • Beneficiaries MUST be over 18

How to apply

  • Fill in the application form by clicking the button below (telling us: what the organisation does, where it’s based and if successful what the money would be spent on).

  • Up to 10 non-profits will then be shortlisted by ActionFunder based on their impact

  • Shortlisted projects will be voted on by the local community in Wetherspoons pubs (We’ll let organisations know if they’ve made it to the vote and when to go and vote!)

  • Winners will be announced! (October 2023)

Shortlisted entries will be submitted into a public vote

Once applications have been received, ActionFunder will shortlist up to 10 non-profits to go through to a public vote. This vote will allow Wetherspoon customers to vote for which non-profits receive funding. We will contact applicants in August 2023 to let them know if they've made it to the public vote, and explain the next steps. Voting is expected to take place in September 2023, we'll confirm this date with applicants. Following the public vote, successful projects will be announced in October 2023. Please note that if offered funding, the funder may contact you to discuss your application or collect impact stories.
