Proud To Pitch In 2024
The Proud To Pitch In fund is open throughout the year and offer grants of up to £4,000 to grassroots and community sports clubs across the United Kingdom. Grants will be distributed regularly throughout the year.
To be eligible for funding, projects must be located in the United Kingdom and project beneficiaries must be aged 18 or over.
How clubs can apply
If you are involved in running a grassroots sports club you can apply directly via ActionFunder.
The aim of this fund is to support sports focussed projects that positively impact their club and/or the local community, and would tangibly benefit from funding. The fund is particularly focussed on sports projects that have a long term impact.
The fund is open to applications all year and grants will be distributed regularly. Details of how to apply can be found on the Proud To Pitch In fund page (coming soon).

Impact to date
Since launching in 2021 Greene King has given over £650,000 in grant funding to more than 200 projects, benefiting around 53,000 people. They have funded everything from new lawn mowers for cricket and bowls clubs, wheelchairs for wheelchair rugby, a boxing ring, and refurbished toilets for a football club.

If you’d like to apply for funding and would like some inspiration, check out some of the projects Greene King have already funded. These will give you an example of the standard of application you should aim to meet, in order to be in with a chance of being successful.
