Beth French – Let’s talk about Loss

Beth French set up Let’s Talk About Loss after she lost her mum when she was 20. She wanted to create a space where grief wasn’t a taboo subject. Now the charity supports people aged 18-35 who are grieving, through monthly peer-led meet ups across the UK!

Madhumita Bose – Forget Me Not Memory Cafe

Madhumita is the CEO of London charity Forget Me Not Memory Cafe. The cafe works with people of all ages, races, sexes, beliefs, abilities particularly who lives alone, economically disadvantaged, might have terminal condition and as result have mental health or memory issues. They offer stimulating activities like creative therapy, exercise, talk, games, quiz, trips, and more.

Danielle McKinnon – Eat, Sleep, Ride CIC

Danielle McKinnon is the founding director of Eat, Sleep, Ride CIC, a social enterprise based on the South East Scottish coastline! This community-led farm supports people on their journey to wellness and empowerment through therapeutic, educational and community initiatives.Central to their mission is community engagement, offering volunteering opportunities, alternative education, and hosting events focused on wellbeing and climate action, particularly targeting youth.

Fariba Nassiri – Yaran Women’s Club

Fariba Nassiri if the founder and chair of Trustee of Barnet-based Yaran Women’s club. Yaran is a safe place for women and their children who are suffering from isolation and loneliness, anxiety and depression or any other kind of mental health issues.

There is a large community of Farsi speaking women (Iranian, Afghan, Tajik, Kurdish) in the London Borough of Barnet. Most of these women are refugees or asylum seekers. Yaran gives them opportunity to make friends and find people in similar situations as themselves to talk to.

The world needs more female leaders. Let’s empower even more women and girls to create change from the grassroots up.
